Head and Vice Captains
Here at Ainslie Wood we have four houses. All children from Years 1-6 belong to one of these houses; Willow (blue), Oak (red), Maple (yellow), Rowan (green). Children in Year 5 have a chance to become a Vice Captain of their own house. They are interviewed by their House Captain, who conduct their own interviews; from writing appropriate questions, to making the tricky decisions about who is the best candidate. When the Vice Captains move into Year 6, they become the House Captains and interview the new Vice Captains for Year 5.
The roles of the House Captains and Vice Captains involve running school council meetings and carrying out and following up requests. They also give tours to visitors and are there to support the children within their house in a range of different ways.
